Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s electric vehicle revolution has yet to gain real traction. The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) warns that EV adoption remains a challenge even as the country pushes for net-zero emissions and aims to put 2 million electric cars and 13 million electric motorcycles on the road by 2030.

ITDP Indonesia’s Southeast Asia Director Gonggomtua Sitanggang said Indonesia targets an emissions cut of 31.89% through domestic efforts and 43.20% with international support by 2030, in line with its ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060—or sooner.
